Cancellation, Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Version: 4 October 2026. This version applies when it is validly incorporated into your agreement.
1. Provider and purchases
Bavaria2TM UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Rickering 2a, 94577 Winzer, Germany, supplies Flying Research, Flying Upload and FLAI (“Flying”). Contact: info@flyingupload.com.
Purchases are made from Paddle as authorised reseller and merchant of record. The Paddle entity identified in your checkout and purchase confirmation is your seller. Flying supplies the Services under its Terms of Use. Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy govern the purchase from Paddle. This policy does not reduce mandatory rights or rights arising under the applicable Paddle purchase agreement.
Whether you are a Business Customer or a Consumer depends on the actual purpose and circumstances of your transaction, as explained in the Terms of Use. Using a print-on-demand tool does not alone determine that status.
2. Ordinary subscription cancellation
You may give notice of cancellation at any time. Cancellation of an initial monthly or annual term takes effect at the end of that term. To prevent renewal, your cancellation must be received before renewal.
Business Customers: unless cancelled before renewal, a monthly subscription renews for another month and an annual subscription for another year. Cancellation after renewal takes effect at the end of the renewed paid term. Flying does not provide a goodwill refund for forgetting to cancel, stopping use, unused tokens or cancellation after a valid renewal. This applies to both monthly and annual business subscriptions. Mandatory legal rights and applicable Paddle purchase obligations remain unaffected.
Consumers: after the initial monthly or annual term, the subscription continues for an indefinite period. During that continuation, you may cancel with one month’s notice, or at an earlier date offered by the applicable cancellation process. A month’s notice runs from receipt of the cancellation; it is not a requirement to wait for the next annual anniversary. Annual advance billing does not impose another fixed annual minimum term. Amounts covering time after an effective termination are settled under section 6 where repayment is legally due.
Statutory termination rights, any more favourable applicable purchase terms and the switching provisions of Annex A to the Terms of Use remain unaffected.
3. How to cancel
The primary cancellation method is through your Flying account: log in at flyingresearch.net, open Settings in the top-right corner, select Subscriptions, and click the Cancel button for the subscription you want to cancel.
You may also use any of these routes:
- The Paddle buyer portal reached through the subscription-management link in your purchase confirmation.
- Paddle buyer support.
- An unequivocal cancellation declaration sent to info@flyingupload.com.
For cancellation by email, give the account email address and, if available, the subscription or order identifier. A particular optional identifier is not required if we can otherwise identify the subscription. When you cancel through Flying, we coordinate the relevant Paddle billing change and confirm the effective date. You do not have to send the same cancellation separately to Paddle. The date we receive a sufficiently identifiable cancellation determines its timeliness through that route. We also coordinate the Flying entitlement with a cancellation received through Paddle. Statutory online cancellation facilities and other legally valid methods remain available.
Stopping use, uninstalling software, removing a payment method or revoking a payment authorisation is not, by itself, a cancellation declaration. Insufficient funds or a failed collection does not automatically cancel the subscription or discharge amounts lawfully due. A valid annual Business Customer renewal remains subject to its agreed annual advance-payment obligation. Sections 4.7–4.11 of the Terms of Use govern unpaid entitlements, proportionate suspension, recovery by the entitled creditor and termination for persistent nonpayment. Those provisions do not revive a claim validly cancelled or waived by the entitled creditor. Account deletion is a separate instruction with the consequences described in the Terms of Use; you do not have to delete your account to cancel a subscription.
4. No voluntary money-back guarantee
Flying offers no voluntary trial refund or money-back guarantee under this policy. Subject to mandatory law and the applicable Paddle purchase agreement, payments are non-refundable. Unused access, a change of mind, dissatisfaction with a technically completed result or forgetting to cancel before a valid renewal does not, by itself, create a refund entitlement. The same rule applies to unused tokens.
This does not exclude statutory withdrawal, remedies for defective or undelivered products, refunds legally due following effective early termination, or obligations of Paddle under its purchase terms. Guarantees that apply to earlier purchases are not retrospectively removed. A discretionary refund on one occasion does not establish a continuing Flying refund programme.
Token use and refunds: Once any included tokens have been used for a successfully completed action, Flying provides no voluntary refund of the associated subscription payment. This does not create a voluntary refund entitlement before token use. Statutory withdrawal, remedies for defective or undelivered services, other mandatory refund rights and rights under the applicable Paddle purchase agreement remain unaffected. Where applicable law permits compensation for services already supplied, the legally entitled party may retain or recover that compensation only if the required information and consent conditions have been met, using the agreed combined subscription price and the applicable statutory calculation. Spent tokens are not retrospectively priced as separate retail purchases. This provision does not alter the required early-termination refund and allocation adjustments in section 6, and does not permit double recovery.
Claims arising from substantiated fraud or other unlawful conduct remain available under applicable law. Token use followed by a refund request does not, by itself, establish such conduct. Any withholding, deduction or set-off must be legally permitted and comply with mandatory refund deadlines.
5. Statutory consumer withdrawal
Withdrawal reverses an eligible recent contract; ordinary cancellation ends a subscription at its applicable termination date. Businesses do not have a consumer withdrawal right.
Purchases from Paddle
For your purchase contract, the contracting seller and applicable withdrawal information are identified in your checkout and purchase confirmation. You can exercise a purchase withdrawal through the transaction-management link in that confirmation or Paddle buyer support, including any available withdrawal function. You can also contact Flying for help, and we coordinate purchase adjustments with Paddle. This does not restrict any method of making a valid withdrawal declaration to the seller. Send a time-sensitive purchase withdrawal directly to Paddle within the applicable period rather than waiting for a technical-support investigation.
An eligible consumer distance contract under German law has a 14-day withdrawal period from conclusion of the contract, subject to the statutory requirements concerning information and commencement of the period. An automatic renewal does not, merely because payment is collected again, create a new German withdrawal period. Any additional applicable withdrawal right or Paddle purchase entitlement remains unaffected.
Withdrawal information for a separate contract with Flying
The following information applies where you have a statutory consumer right to withdraw from a distance contract concluded directly with Flying. It does not create a voluntary withdrawal right where the law provides none.
You have the right to withdraw from that contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The period expires 14 days after the day the contract is concluded, subject to any statutory extension or different commencement required by law.
To exercise this right, inform Bavaria2TM UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Rickering 2a, 94577 Winzer, Germany, email: info@flyingupload.com, of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example a letter or email. You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline, it is sufficient to send your declaration before the withdrawal period expires.
If you withdraw from that contract, we reimburse payments received from you under it without undue delay and within 14 days after being informed of your decision. Repayment uses the same means of payment as the original transaction unless a different method is expressly agreed; no repayment fee is charged. Payments made to Paddle are refunded through Paddle under the applicable purchase agreement and legal requirements.
If you expressly requested services to begin during the withdrawal period and the legal conditions for compensation are satisfied, you must pay the lawful proportionate amount for services supplied up to your withdrawal compared with the full contractual service. Compensation is based on the agreed total price, subject to the statutory rules. A combined-price service is not retrospectively divided into separately priced token, report or output components. Compensation is payable only where the legally required request and information conditions are satisfied.
For paid services, a withdrawal right does not expire merely because use begins; early expiry requires full performance and the express prior consent and acknowledgement required by law. For paid digital content not supplied on a physical medium, early expiry requires commencement of supply following the required express consent, acknowledgement of loss of the right and contract confirmation. A general acceptance of the Terms or use of a token does not alone establish those conditions. On a valid withdrawal from a contract for digital content, the German statutory rule does not require compensation for that supplied digital content.

6. Required early-termination refunds and included tokens
If a legally effective early termination creates a right to repayment for the unprovided part of a prepaid subscription period, the combined fee is apportioned by time. The amount actually paid for the affected period, after discounts, is multiplied by the portion of that period falling after the effective termination date. The same time units are used on both sides of that fraction and the monetary result is rounded to the currency’s smallest unit. This calculation creates no refund right where none exists. A different or greater refund required by law takes precedence, including refunds for earlier periods of defective performance. Statutory withdrawal is settled under section 5 and its applicable legal rules.
Where a subscription token allocation was issued upfront, only the unused included tokens attributable to the refunded future period are cancelled. For each affected allocation, the number cancelled equals the original allocation multiplied by the fraction of its subscription period falling after effective termination for which the fee is returned. Cancellation is capped at the unused tokens remaining in that allocation and rounded down to a whole token. A refund for an earlier defective period, a price reduction or damages does not increase that fraction.
Separately purchased token allocations and allocations from other periods are unaffected. Remaining valid tokens attributable to an unrefunded period keep their applicable validity. Tokens already spent are not retrospectively charged at a standalone retail price and the calculation does not create a negative token balance. Applicable statutory compensation and refund rules take precedence.
On full withdrawal from or full reversal of a token purchase, unused tokens belonging to that purchase are cancelled. Another partial refund reverses only unused entitlements covered by that refund. A refund for a defect does not permit revocation of entitlements you remain entitled to receive. Adjusting access or tokens is not a condition that postpones a monetary repayment deadline imposed by law.
We coordinate the refund with Paddle and identify the affected transaction, effective date and entitlement adjustment. Repayments use the original payment method unless a legally permitted alternative is agreed. No Flying refund-processing fee is charged. The statutory deadline applies; repayment is not postponed until an internal approval period has elapsed.
7. Defects and failed actions
Report a technical problem to info@flyingupload.com, giving enough information to identify the affected account, feature and problem. Do not send passwords or full payment-card details. Where the law provides an opportunity to deliver or correct the product before a further remedy becomes due, Flying must be allowed that opportunity. No artificially short reporting deadline is imposed on statutory claims.
Tokens deducted for an action that technically fails are restored. Dissatisfaction with a technically completed result is not itself a technical failure. Restoration concerns that action; it does not automatically entitle you to reimbursement of the subscription or token purchase. Statutory remedies for defective or undelivered services remain available.
8. Effect of ordinary cancellation
At the effective end of the subscription, future subscription allocations stop and paid-only access ends. Ordinary cancellation at the end of the paid term does not shorten the validity of tokens already credited. Their use and expiry are governed by the Terms of Use. The storage-reduction process begins when paid storage access ends, with the preservation and retrieval rules stated in the Terms and Annex A taking precedence where applicable.
Rights in your own content and lawfully obtained outputs are governed by the Terms of Use. A refund or withdrawal does not give a continuing right to use paid access or entitlements that have been reversed.
