What's New in Flying Upload: Expanded Product Editing and Previews

Product preparation goes beyond changing a product name. Flying's recent updates expand editing and previews across apparel and accessories, with product-specific choices that help you inspect how a design fits before continuing your upload workflow.

What's New in Flying Upload: Expanded Product Editing and Previews

Prepare for the product you are actually using

A design positioned for a standard T-shirt may need a different review on a jersey, a jacket, or an accessory. The printable area, product shape, available colors, and supported placement options can all affect how the artwork is presented.

Flying's recent Upload updates expand the product-specific editing and preview workflow. The value is not simply a longer list of product names: you can inspect more of your preparation in the relevant product context before continuing.

Prepare each product on its own terms

What the recent additions cover

AreaRecent work in Flying
Softshell JacketAdded to Online Edit with a product preview and mockup updates.
JerseysExpanded handling and previews for baseball, basketball, and soccer jerseys.
Accessories and home productsAdded or refined product handling for items such as laptop sleeves, mouse pads, throw blankets, and unframed posters.
Additional product typesRecent work also includes products such as sports backpacks, hardcover journals, travel tumblers, and crossbody bags.

This is a roundup of Flying editing and preview changes. It does not mean every listed product is available on every platform or marketplace, or that every account has publishing access to it. Use the options actually available in your selected workflow.

1. Choose the right product before positioning artwork

Open the design you want to prepare, choose the relevant platform context, and select the supported product type. Confirm the selection before relying on the preview. A similarly shaped garment is not necessarily a substitute for the exact product you plan to use.

For a newly supported item, inspect the product-specific options rather than carrying over assumptions from your previous edit. The mockup helps you assess placement visually, while the destination platform remains the source of its current upload and product requirements.

2. Review color and print placement together

Look at the design on the colors available for the selected product. Details that read well on a dark garment can disappear on a lighter one, and a white design edge may behave differently on a colored background.

Where the product supports different print positions, check the intended placement explicitly. Do not assume that front and back printing, background colors, or the same positioning controls apply to every product. The supported choices depend on the product and workflow.

3. Check the listing as well as the image

Product expansion can expose small listing mistakes. A title that still says “T-shirt” is not a good fit for a different product. Review the wording, product-specific settings, and relevant listing fields before treating a design as prepared.

If you create several product variants, inspect each variant rather than assuming that one successful preview validates them all. Keep the artwork's proportions and readability in mind, especially when moving between clothing and rectangular or differently shaped accessories.

4. Save the preparation before continuing

Save your edits and confirm the available save status before moving to another design or continuing the upload workflow. A visible preview is a preparation aid; it is not evidence that a platform has accepted or published a listing.

Use a short review order: correct product, intended color, supported print placement, readable artwork, accurate listing, and saved changes. That makes the expanded product options useful without turning preparation into a guessing exercise.

Build a repeatable product review

Group products by the checks they need rather than assuming all apparel or all accessories behave alike. Your own notes about product-specific choices can make the next edit easier to review.
